This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students use headphones throughout the day for various activities. They listen to music in the mornings while they write their journals, they watch math videos after our whole group lesson if they need supplemental help, they listen to audio books during quiet reading assignments and they also use it for their state tests which are coming up at the end of the school year. I also have students that use text-to-speech accommodations who do not have access to that without quality headphones.

The students received earbuds that I purchased with my own money at the beginning of the year, but they were unfortunately not the greatest quality and over the course of the year have taken some damage and been broken over time.

I am hoping that a new class set of high quality headphones will provide the students with the resources they need to help them be successful in their learning and testing.
