Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students at our school are diverse, caring and in need of support. Many of them are hard-working, intelligent and capable of doing almost anything - they just need support and a push in the right direction.

A lot of the students here are not well-off, financially and/or with family support.

Often times, teachers at our school are the only people they come across throughout the day who offer a caring, supportive hand. Ultimately, they are great kids deserving of a top-notch education and support system. My classes include a combination of 9th-12th graders of all different learning levels, including students with special needs.

My Project

High school is stressful for many students-during a pandemic or otherwise. Teenagers are going through a multitude of daily problems that drain them mentally.

A classroom aquarium will not only supply a therapeutic mental break for students when they (desperately) need one, it will also provide a learning lesson for students on how to be responsible and take care of a living environment.

The aquarium and its fish/decorations are made up of different colors, sizes, textures, and shapes, which will be a supportive guide for the art elements.
