Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Spring is finally here! In the month of April, we are starting our science unit on plants and animals. It is also the month we celebrate Earth Day! I am requesting planting supplies for the first grade students here at our school. We will incorporate science and Earth Day into this fun hands on lesson! We would love some sunflower seeds, potting soil and potting cups! These materials will help us to start our seeds and hopefully have some seedlings to bring home! These materials will help us learn about growing plants and it will help the pollinators in our area to find food! We will plant extra seeds so students can transplant seedlings into our school yard also!
