Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a dynamic group of 7 and 8 years old who love to read books, create masterpieces, and discover new concepts. Fearless when it comes to learning, my students come to class with a positive attitude and ready to work hard. We practice a growth mindset in our classroom. These caring boys and girls accept mistakes as part of the process of learning and embrace challenges.
Each one of my young learners has unique abilities that require unique approaches to learning.
My super star students are energetic, inquisitive, and passionate. Their thirst for knowledge requires a variety of methods and approaches to learning.
My Project
The technology toolkit will consist of an iPad, wireless keyboard, and Bluetooth headphones. These items will help my young learners receive differentiated instruction by using apps that are both entertaining and educating at various levels. Children will be able to use this technology toolkit during small group instruction and individual practice. My plan is to load the iPad with apps that can help my students practice important skills in reading, math, and more.

Technology is a tool that can help children reach their full potential. My students will be able to independently explore, learning fundamental skills while playing interactive games. Bluetooth devices can turn this toolkit into a student center that can be taken to any part of the classroom, providing flexible seating.
Students can also use the toolkit to extend lessons by taking a virtual field trip or using the built-in microphone on the Bluetooth headphones to practice spoken language during Spanish class. The toolkit can also be used to assist with the development of their creative minds by producing digital books to showcase student work, provide opportunities to explore coding, and support the STEM curriculum.
