My Students

I have 23 amazing first graders who are excited to come to school every day to learn. I was fortunate enough to be able to loop with more than half of the students up to first grade. They are truly wonderful kids who put a smile on my face daily.

They are an amazing bunch who truly enjoy learning.

Each child is a unique individual with unique experiences. Our school is a public elementary school that is leading the way in technology innovation in the classroom. We are located in Seattle, WA and are in one of the largest school districts in the state. Being in a large school district, we are often forgotten.

My Project

I am requesting an iPad, which will be used in my first grade classroom. The iPad is an incredible tool that has the potential to change the way teachers teach and students learn. Students in my classroom will use the iPad as a tool for learning. They will be able to use it for mathematics, engineering, and literacy. Students will learn valuable 21st century skills with the iPad, which will better equip them for their future in both education and eventually the work force. iPads are an important tool for meeting the needs of today's students and inspiring them to explore, create, and collaborate!

This iPad project is so important because the iPad is a tool that will be used for many years to come.

iPads are truly the way of the future for education and we are only beginning to see the potential they have in the classroom!
