My Students

My students are awesome young people with a lot of energy and curious minds. They are energetic, love each other, desire to learn new things, and have a passion to share what they want to be when they grow up.

I want to ensure that every child in my classroom has a fun, safe place to explore and soak up positive self-esteem while exploring the world and learning to become productive citizens.

It is important that every child in my class has the materials they need to meet their learning styles, academic goals, and social skills.

My Project

As I approach a new school with students eager to start Kindergarten in the fall, they would greatly appreciate the use of visual aids and hands on learning. Providing my class with chart paper increases their motivation to read around the room and participate during circle time. Pocket charts and lined chart paper will be student centered activities to get them ready for first grade. Kindergarten students love to color! To make our crayons last longer we could use a crayon sharpener. Students in Kindergarten must know how to count to 120 before going into first grade. Providing my students with a puzzle to match and sequence numbers will be perfect to help all learners master the skills of counting to 120. When they become familiar with numbers and sequences, students can race to complete hundred charts with one minute timers.

As we approach the year 2020, students will have 2020 vision of going to first grade with the help of student centered visuals, puzzles, and child centered classroom.
