it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am seeking support for snacks and recognition awards to commend the achievements of our dedicated students in reaching their educational goals. In our dynamic school environment, students often sacrifice lunch, attend weekend sessions for academic assistance, and engage in extracurricular activities like Robotics, demonstrating exceptional commitment despite facing more obstacles than their peers. These hardworking students frequently lack access to preferred snacks during their additional educational pursuits. By offering a variety of snacks, we aim to provide not only physical sustenance but also acknowledge their commitment. Once they are celebrated, they will push themselves to new heights and become more successful in their academics.
Additionally, we propose implementing a rewards and raffles system to recognize and celebrate their efforts.
These incentives are designed to not only acknowledge their achievements but help them to stay focus on their academics. Research highlights the positive impact of such reinforcement on student motivation towards graduating high school. Associating their efforts with tangible rewards and creating a celebratory atmosphere aims to nurture a sense of accomplishment so that all students continue to work hard and achieve their academics goals.
In summary, this grant has the potential to contribute significantly to the well-being, both physical and emotional, of our students. It will create an environment where their hard work is acknowledged and celebrated, fostering determination to overcome obstacles and succeed in their educational pursuits.
