My Project

I teach Agriculture within my STEM class, and I have a strong desire to acquire a hydroponic garden tower for my classroom. This would enable my students to explore the requirements of plants from a unique perspective, fostering a profound understanding of the conditions necessary for robust plant growth and development. Additionally, this hydroponic system would serve as an engaging and hands-on tool to introduce students to the concepts of healthy eating and food security, providing an interactive learning experience.

My primary objective is to cultivate agricultural literacy among my students.

By fostering this literacy, I aim to unlock a myriad of opportunities for my students, enabling them to nurture and refine their leadership abilities, which will be of immense value in their future careers. Through the implementation of this system, students will not only exhibit a heightened interest in science, technology, mathematics, and engineering (STEM) concepts, but they will also sharpen their critical thinking skills.

This endeavor will imbue students with a profound sense of ownership as they take responsibility for nurturing the plants they grow and closely monitor the essential components of their growth. Furthermore, the hydroponic systems will play a pivotal role in enhancing family and community engagement, while also promoting the behavioral and social-emotional development of our students.
