My Students

As grown-ups, we think about our daily needs: food, money, clothes, transportation. Sadly, some students have the same worries. But despite these challenges, my students constantly rise to the occasion and meet the highest expectations.

My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and disabilities and face various daily challenges.

Some have and some do not. My job is to level the playing field so that everyone has a chance to be successful. Through engaging in exciting, active, collaborative and creative lessons and assessments in my classroom, my students prove themselves time and time again.

Our classroom is a 21st Century classroom. We harbor the skills of communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking despite the challenges that we face. We strive daily to try our best at everything that is given to us so that we may grow up to realize our best potentials and be independent and successful individuals.

My Project

Our class has been blessed with the Osmo learning kits and we are rocking them! We use the kits to explore various activities and enhance our reading, math, STEM and problem-solving skills. We are requesting for 2 additional Osmo bases for the iPad to increase our Osmo access. We are also requesting for the new Osmo kits, Osmo Pizza Co. and Osmo Detective Agency.

I know my students will thrive even more when provided with more opportunities with advanced, effective and fun ways to develop their reading, writing, math and 21st century thinking skills.

Osmo fosters learning in key areas such as: creative problem solving, art, STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and apply the 4C's (creativity, collaboration, communication and critical thinking). Osmo Pizza Co. teaches real- world math, money, fractions and non-verbal communication. Osmo Detective Agency allows students to learn about geography and landmarks around the world, as well as make them use deductive thinking and observation skills to solve mysteries.
