My Students

Set us up for success! We are the earliest of learners and are in need of materials that will help us to learn our letters and sounds which will set us up for success for reading.

We are students from Washington, DC and attend a Title I school in one of the poorest and roughest communities in the district.

We are the earliest of learners and are the future of our community and school. Test scores are our school have not risen in over 7 years. We want to change that. We all have the drive and curiosity to be life long learners and be the change.

My Project

We are requesting alphabet puzzles which will help us to learn our letters and also the sounds that the letters make by matching the picture sound to the letter. We are also requesting alphabet tubes that have various objects in them that match the letter sounds. With these materials, we will be able to make real life connects to the sounds we hear daily. We will also be able to put our hands on objects and sort them by their sound. By learning our letters and sounds at such an early age, 3 years-old, we will be set up for success for reading. An important skill that will carry us through our lives.

The atmosphere of our community and school is that all we can do is fail.

We are here to say that we WILL NOT FAIL. With your help, we will be set up for success and can be the change that our community and school need to see.
