This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Can you believe how quickly our classrooms have changed in just a few short years? Technology has made learning more engaging and is preparing our students for a fast paced world.
My students come from all walks of life and are quite diverse like most people in Hawaii.
My students families come from all over the world and several different languages are spoken. At home many of my students do not have access to a computer or the internet.
My Project
Right now our classroom has 3 iPads. With 22 students it is very difficult to have all children be able to use them in a timely manner. I am requesting 4 iPads so that we can use them in a small group setting. Our district has also provided and mandated that we use several educational websites. A group set will allow for all students to access these websites.
Having these iPads in the classroom will allow me to differentiate my lessons easily to meet the needs of all of my students.
My higher level students can easily use them to complete a task while I work with students who may need more one on one support. In turn my lower level students can use them to review and practice basic skills in a fun and engaging manner.
