Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Kinder classroom serves the needs of children aged five thru six years old in physical, sensory, emotional, communication, cognitive, social, and academic growth and learning. All are needed to prepare them for First grade and the following elementary school years. With such a high academic rigor and focus, our students rank high above their elementary peers in areas of Math, Foreign Language, Reading, Writing, Social Studies and Science. With the iPad has unique capacities to accommodate multiple learning styles and varying physical and mental abilities which assist with differentiation in the classroom. Visual learners can easily see text, moving images, and other colorful displays, even from the back of a large classroom. Auditory learners can experience the lesson through sound provided by the iPad’s USB cord and headphones and/or speakers. Kinesthetic learners can physically manipulate text, images and other stimuli directly on the screen with the touch of a finger. Hearing-impaired students, who rely heavily on visual learning, benefit from the large display area of the screen and the ability to highlight and touch portions of text or images. Students with impaired vision can manipulate objects and perceive large-font text on the sample display surface of the iPad.
My Project
My students would really benefit from an apple TV due to its various abilities.
The Apple TV is so appealing to us teachers and also the students because it allows you to mirror your screen like an interactive whiteboard can.
Apple’s technology is called “Airplay,” which is the ability to stream a live view of whatever is on your IOS devise to a larger screen. It can mirror the teacher’s iPad, the students’ iPads, and even a MacBook. Using "Airplay" the students will be able to use their ipads, complete their assignments and also submit it electronically reducing the use of paper. With the Apple TV, the students will be able to use, engange and have fun all with updated technology.
