My Project
I would like to purchase an Apple TV to project lessons and model work more efficiently. Currently we connect computers and iPads to display through a wired connection that sometimes doesn't work, takes up a lot of space, and falls out easily. A reliable cordless connection between devices and the screen will be a new way to meet students’ needs in my classroom.
The installation of of an Apple Television will have a direct impact on increasing student engagement.
With the help of an Apple TV, I will structure student-led teaching, sharing, and modeling into my daily lessons. Students will be empowered to lead instruction, display, and celebrate their work. My students are enthusiastic about using new technology in the classroom. They are motivated by the prospect of sharing their work with peers.
This project allows me, the teacher, to consistently provide students with rich, engaging visual scaffolds in the classroom. It enables students to connect their iPads to the television and to share their original work with peers.
I would like to incorporate the sharing of student work into my daily lessons. With Apple TV, I will be able to structure a student-led portion of lessons in which student leaders teach specific concepts, publish their original work, or model a task for the large group.
