We would like to request funding to order STEM activity sets that students can explore throughout the year. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. My goal is that by working on STEM activities, students will increase their logical thinking as well as start to gain knowledge in practical engineering. They would also learn to work cooperatively to try to work out new ways of doing things. I see my students as future scientists and engineers. For this reason, I would like to give them more opportunities to build their scientific thinking skills. Having opportunities to interact with STEM materials would increase student engagement and help them be excited to come to school. Working on STEM activities on a weekly basis would expand my students' capability for problem solving. Through discussion and STEM work, my hope is that they will see themselves as future scientists and engineers.
