My Students
This year, I’m privileged to be teaching a group of unique 4th graders. My students have been learning in an immersion dual language setting since kindergarten. They are fluent in both languages and needs a variety of literatures to enhance comprehension (Hmong/English).
The majority of my students come from a low socioeconomic background.
Our school is located in South Sacramento. Most of them come from a big family and can’t afford to spend much on books. Their only source to literature is at school. Therefore, I want to do whatever I can to provide them with a variety of rich literatures.
My Project
Due to Covid 19, we will take learning outside of the classrooms and into the homes of our students. The use of the IPad on the requested stand will provide myself and students ways to become actively engaged in classroom lessons in STEMs, ELA, math concepts such as financial literacy. These materials will also help me create digital lessons that reach all my students needs.
Using the iPad I could model lessons digitally so the students would feel as if they were in the classroom with me.
Having this technology will allow me to use our online learning time more efficiently as well as help me create digital lessons that can reach all my student’s needs.
