This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have a classroom of outstanding, intelligent students! This is my first year in 3rd grade, and my kids are teaching me so much about what it means to be in third grade. They love working together but also need moments to be individuals.

With a room full of dreamers, thinkers, and communicators, we work together to create an environment where everyone feels open to share their opinions.

Through research they share their interests and find commonalities among their classmates. We may be different, but we are the same!

My students are amazing! They make me want to be better. They push me to find interesting and relevant ways to present curriculum. They stretch my thinking.

My Project

The Apple TV would allow my students to interact with the Apps and demonstration lessons I can create on my IPad. During math lessons, students need to be able to display their work on the board. This allows the class to walk through their steps and understand their thinking. Most of my students struggle with math concepts. The more chances I have to get into their head and have them explain their thought process, the better chance I have of correcting any misconceptions. Students teaching students is the most effective way for children to learn. If you can teach it, you understand it.
