This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

During their third and fourth grade year, they are going to learn with me. It is my mission to bridge the educational gap and better their educational experience.

When students are comfortable in a classroom, they WANT to be there.

They show up! They try their best! That is what I want for my students. Students should be able to learn in a way that is best for them! Approximately 80% of our students come from bilingual households, so they strive for as much help as possible in the classroom. For a low income, high poverty area, I want my students to be able to come into my science classroom yearning to close their own gaps and succeed at their goals for the future.

My Project

Receiving this iPad for my scientists will be helpful both while we are virtual as well as when we go back as hybrid scholars! There are so many possibilities!

While at home I will be able to use the iPad as a second camera for my scientists to watch experiments that I demonstrate for them on the other side of the screen.

When we go back to school I will be able to use the iPad for a quick reply to parents as well as sending pictures as I make my way around the classroom with social distancing.

I will also be able to use the iPad and the Apple Pencil to create resources for my scientists. The Apple Pencil will also be helpful for my students who will benefit from handwriting as I can hold onto the document without keeping the papers around due to COVID restrictions.
