This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
students are a diverse group of low income children living in the lower part of Manhattan in New York City. My students face many challenges both in and out of the classroom. The supplies needed will support students who will be learning remotely. Our school contains both general education classrooms and ICT classrooms. ICT is an Integrated Co-Teaching Classroom (ICT) where students with disabilities receive integrated co-teaching services and are educated with age appropriate peers in the general education classroom. ICT provides access to the general education curriculum and specially designed instruction to meet students’ individual needs. students are caring, energetic and have a thirst for knowledge.
My Project
Hello!
I am always looking for ways to take lessons from in person and teach them remotely!
An iPad will allow me to offer better math lessons. I have been using my mouse to write numbers and solve problems, but it can be very messy and hard to show exactly what I want. A iPad will mirror what I do in the classroom on the white board and offer an easy way for my students to learn new math. They will be able to follow along in their own devices and I can make changes to the lesson using the iPad to allow for better understanding of the new math.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
