Mound Valley third graders are totally amazing! While over half of our students face the challenges of coming from a low income home, they face and master many struggles on a daily basis! We are always looking for new ways to help them grow and succeed in all they endeavor to do.
My students are fun, inquisitive and active young learners.
They are great readers and are eager to learn all that they possibly can. Students are our future, and I want to help my students become the successful young adults they are blossoming into. The sky is the limit.
My Project
Having an IPAD and the Osmo Genius Kit with retina display will allow our students to explore and manipulate tangrams, numbers and letters in fun and creative ways. One way we will be using these tools will be building tangrams while introducing and exploring geometry. Students will benefit greatly by using these hands on tools.
Allowing low-income students access to such technology will help them become better prepared for upper grades and new math concepts and skills.
