This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Eighth graders think they know it all, but they are like sponges when I teach them math concepts on the computer. Working in a district that provides breakfast and lunch for our students has certain challenges, but does not deter the students from learning abstract concepts throughout the day.

Even though I am the math teacher, my classroom is a technology station for the students.

I try to integrate technology into how I teach them. My students learn best through multi-media and technology integration into their mathematical concepts.

My Project

My goal is to complete more virtual professional development this year. Every year we have to write professional development plan and mine included integrating more technology into the classroom. I cannot integrate what I do not know. My goal is to do interactive webinars with a reliable MacBook computer.

I would also like to travel to some pd opportunities outside of my area with a reliable computer.

Many math programs are now taking to the internet for student learning. I would like to be able to learn about these programs and educate myself on them. Plus our school is going towards positive behavior systems and I need to finish my online requirements for that.
