My students are in a team taught kindergarten classroom. That means there are thirty-five students and two teachers all in one room learning together. Our students are five and six years old and are full of life. They come into school every day and are happy to see each other.
Kindergarten is a wonderful grade to be in!
There are so many new and exciting things happening every day.
Our Title I school is located in a small town. It is a wonderful school to be a part of. Students come in and are welcomed by school members who want to help them learn to succeed!
My Project

My kindergarten students love to use technology to help them learn.
We use Seesaw as an online portfolio for students to document their work and share work with each other. My students absolutely love to be able to take a picture of something that they have worked so hard on to complete and then post it to our class Seesaw. They love to look at other student's work as well. They are able to record themselves and tell about their work. An iPad would allow for my students to be able to take this to the next level. They will be able to use various apps on the iPad to "app smash" and improve their work. It is amazing to see the things that they think of to do and add to their work. I love the creativity that comes from this. I want my students to learn the skills they need to be able to think outside of the box. Having an iPad will help allow for them to think freely, allowing them to be able to create projects by using different apps to help improve their work.
We also have daily centers in our classroom. The students will be able to use the iPad during center time to access different learning apps that will help improve their reading, writing, and math skills. Kids are so engaged when they are able to use technology to help them learn. I look forward to seeing all the AWESOME work that my students create using the various apps that an iPad has to offer!
