This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These books will help my AP Lit students engage with challenging literature that explores the challenges of fitting into society. I've chosen these books because they are thematically similar yet very different in topic and content. Providing these books for our classroom will help the students have access to a variety of story types and genres, enabling them to find the book that best fits their interests.

With these books, students will be able to choose the right novel for their Literature Circle projects.

Literature Circles require students to be able to read independently and discuss their findings in their small groups. The best way to help the students prepare for the AP Test is to get them to read complex novels, and this project will give the students a wider set of options to choose from. I know that my students will greatly benefit from reading these books.
