My Students

Be the first and succeed. This class will be the first AP Statistics class ever offered at our school.

This class is a mix of male and female.

They may not be the strongest mathematics students in our school, but they will be willing to work hard! Our school would be considered in the higher range of the socio-economic level, but we are the 2nd lowest funded school in the state of Indiana.

My Project

I am requesting 1 document camera for presentation of homework/quiz/test/AP practice solutions, 1 textbook entitled "The Practice of Statistics" to be used as an additional student and teacher resource, and 6 calculators caddies. The document camera will allow us to do many activities where we can display data, etc., to the entire class. A couple of other teachers at our school have a document camera and they say that it is an integral part of their classroom. This is by far the most important item that I am requesting. It will be used on a daily basis. The textbook will be an additional classroom resource and provide the students with additional examples they can work as they practice for the AP test. The calculator caddies are simply a means of organizing the calculators that the students will be using in the classroom.

The document camera will make by far the biggest difference by allowing us to display information much more efficiently, therefore freeing up more time for curriculum or activities!
