My Students

Our school has approximately 1,100 students in grades 9th through 12th. and is the 40th largest public high school in Wisconsin and the 3,722nd largest in the United States.

Our students are enthusiastic and enjoy being involved in their education and especially enjoy hands-on activities and connections to the world outside of school.

Approximately 72% of our students are on free and reduced cost lunch assistance which is significantly higher than the state average of 35.4%.

My Project

Our school does not have an AP Spanish course, just advanced Spanish classes. I would like to take my quite capable students in Advanced Spanish V and VII to the next level to focus on learning the language and culture in more depth so that they are prepared to take the AP Spanish placement exam. Our school is not of privilege and these students when going to the University will need every chance available to earn credits and not leave with a large bill, since most families cannot provide so. Saving money on college credits, plus learning at a higher level to challenge their minds is my main goal.
