My Project
This is the first year that AP Music Theory is being offered in our district! My small class of 6 is paving the way for those that follow. Enrollment for next year is already estimated at 18! The items in this project are necessary for student success in the AP Theory class and on the exam. AP Music Theory is unlike other AP Exams in that students are required to complete a listening portion which will be played aloud for the entire group from a CD, and then students individually record themselves sight singing. Our AP Coordinator needs to be prepared with a high quality speaker system/stereo that has a CD player, as well as enough headsets with microphones for the recording portion. Since this class is brand new, we need to make sure we have all the equipment necessary for a successful class and testing environment.
The AP Music Theory exam is a huge undertaking, so we want to set our students up for success!
The headsets will be used throughout the school year as students complete ear training and sight singing activities in class. These activities are impossible if you can hear the sound from the computer next to you. The headphones are also equipped with microphones that can be used for sight singing both in class and in the AP exam setting. Thank you for helping us prepare for the best possible testing scenario!
