Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have 50 students who will be taking the AP English Language & Composition exam in May. Many of these students have never taken an AP exam before, and they are nervous about the exam. I always try to provide my students with little goodies and a letter before their exam to make them laugh, give them motivation, and provide them with materials that they will need on the day of the test. The pencils, pens, and grippers will be used during the exam. The juices and snacks will ensure that they have the energy to approach the difficult test, and the candy and stress relief tools coincide with the puns in the motivational card to lighten the mood and make them feel supported. After a challenging year and before taking a high-stakes test, I know that my students would greatly appreciate these gifts and I hope to be able to provide them with the tools they need.
