My Students
My students have big dreams that involve making the world a better place. AP classes can help them prepare for their next step.
Our school in located in a unique area. We are rural, suburban, rich, not rich, athletic, musical, geeky, brilliant and working hard. We are a microcosm of our world. While we are diverse in many ways, we still seem to get along. Of course, all schools have their concerns but our school is one that is there for people in need. Whether it collecting donations for a family struggling with medical issues or donating their time to help fix a house that is in need of repair, our students are there to help and give of themselves.
My Project
AP Chemistry is a very intense class that allows students to study and experiment like college freshman. My students will ask questions, much like real chemists do, and try to answer them via experimentation with materials such as beakers, cylinders and analytical balances. These experiments and the theory behind them will be closely connected to real world issues such as energy and climate change.
Colleges are looking for students who take the most rigorous courses that a school offers. AP classes will show colleges that my students are interested in learning and challenging themselves.
