This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We live in a world where technology rules and our students need to be prepared.

Our students are diverse and exceptional.

They come from many different backgrounds and often come from poor homes. Being comfortable with various types of technology, desktops, tablets and graphing calculators will give them a big advantage as they prepare for the work place of the future.

My Project

A classroom set of the Texas Instruments TI-Nspire will open a whole world of exploration and investigation for my students. It will empower them to not only find the answer, but to ask and explore the "what if" situations that make mathematics so interesting. These calculators will open the doors to a whole new world for my students.

When our students succeed in STEM courses, this leads to more prosperous opportunities that will present themselves for those students.

This is our goal for their future. AP is a great jump start for college and beyond. With your help, we can do so much better!
