My Project
The 2025–26 school year will mark the second year that AP African American Studies is being offered at our school. Our inaugural year was both exciting and enlightening—a strong start, but also a learning experience. One major challenge we faced was a lack of classroom supplies, which limited our ability to fully engage students and bring the curriculum to life.
AP African American Studies explores the history, culture, and many contributions of African Americans.
To truly do this content justice and deepen student understanding, it is essential that we provide access to materials that support hands-on, creative, and visually expressive projects. These projects not only enhance comprehension but also affirm the importance and relevance of African American Studies in a meaningful and lasting way.
Funding for classroom supplies will directly support student engagement and success, allowing them to explore and express what they’ve learned in powerful, personal ways.
