Help me give my students sand and play-doh to help them play indoors.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Groves's classroom raised $775

My Students
In New York City all schools were closed in mid-march. My students, the youngest learners attend full day pre-K. Schools are closed for the remainder of the school year. Traditionally my students have a stepping up ceremony and end-of-year activities to help them continue to learn over the summer.
My Project
In pre-k we have learning centers. The sensory table is the most popular center in my classroom. In this center we use water, sand, snow and sensory beads. At the sensory table my students play and explore while using their senses to guide them. They learn scientific concepts from playing and manipulating different material. Sand and play-doh are good for fine and gross motor development.
Since schools are closed students are not provided with this essential play experience.
I hope to recreate this experience by providing my students with material so they can engage in sensory play at home.
