This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The world in which we live is not always kind and loving. Unfortunately, racism is very much present in our communities and schools. Sadly, racism is a major issue that my students face every day.

Help me provide some powerful books to my student library to encourage students to be anti-racist.

These books help teach readers that being silent, or turning a blind eye, is not sufficient. Rather, we need to take a stand, be bold, and become advocates, examples, and leaders of anti-racism. Help me facilitate opportunities for students to expand their paradigms and people of change and learn to love people for being humans.
