Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help us end bullying in our community! Our students have come together in an effort to curtail hurtful name-calling and bullying at our school. First, they made posters and modified their own behavior. After a successful reduction in incidents, they decided to make videos to help spread the word.

Coming from low-income backgrounds, our students are high achievers who want to make a difference in their community; a difference they can achieve with your help.

We've found that students are more likely to modify their behavior when the message comes from their peers. This is why using student-created videos has been so effective.

My Project

We've successfully shown our anti-bullying videos at two different schools. In the process, however, we realized it would be much easier to share media with a portable hard drive and speakers. Speakers will help everyone hear our message. A hard drive would eliminate our reliance on slow Internet connections for streaming.

We are scheduled to go to more classes and schools to share our Anti-Bullying message.

Our students have done some amazing work. Please help facilitate our effort by providing necessary technology.
