Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are always displaying great determination and diligent hard work. We strive to complete STEAM and STEM projects throughout multiple disciplines. Our skill set completes all requirements given by the state and we look forward to achieving national standards. Our students bring life to all projects that we complete.
Students are constantly challenging the boundaries of how our curriculum is based, and challenging how teachers can change the way students learn.
This project will allow our content to bring forth better interdisciplinary content lesson plans.
Our school proudly serves military families, underprivileged students struggling with economic hardships, and a melting pot of diverse racial backgrounds.
My Project
This ant farm will supply my students will a vast array of different knowledge from multidisciplinary studies. They will care and feed for the ants while collecting large amounts of data. They will research deeper into how this ecosystem helps ants thrive in their conditions. Every kids should have the opportunity to set up and care for their own ant farm. As a kid, I remember taking hours just observing and coming up with different hypothesis'.
Student memory retention is greater when they are confronted with real life lessons.
The ants will be well taken care of and will support hundreds of students with knowledge they will carry with them for years to come.
