My Students

I am a general education teacher in a K-8 school in Brooklyn, NY. I teach a wonderful group of motivated students. I am a teacher in a high-poverty school district, where my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. It is my job to find different ways to help my students work through and overcome these challenges.

Despite the many challenges they face, my students are excited to learn each and every day.

I want to continue to foster that motivation by providing new and exciting learning experiences for them. I also want to make sure their learning environment is the very best it can be.

My Project

This was another difficult and challenging year, but we made it work! With all the school changes it was so hard on my students, and their families emotionally. I want my students to remember that they are still kids and should have some fun this summer. By giving my students some end of year incentives, I hope to encourage both happiness and excitement. They will keep the kids happy and have positive feelings about this hectic year. There were so many challenges this year and my students took them in stride. I am so very proud of them. I hope to have a wonderful end of year celebration for my Kindergarteners to celebrate their achievements.

I want to celebrate my students growth not just academically, but also emotionally.

I want to make sure this year ends on a high note, and that we are excited to continue our academic careers. By celebrating achievements with some end of year incentives, we can make sure that this year ends positively. I am asking for books, sand buckets, chalk, and bubbles to put together a goody bag for each student. The surprises will help my students feel good about their first real school experience.
