My Students

If I told you "The limits of my language mean the limits of my world" is a book by Mr. Wittgenstein or a quote, would you believe me? Of course, but in reality my students are living this exact title. The limits of my students language is at challenge everyday.

Coming from low income homes and parents with no education my 6 grade students are all eager to learn and ready to set high goals for their future.

Even though their school is known to have all minority students, they are proud to be here and are trying their best to change their future by expanding their language.

My Project

My students don't have the technology at home since parents are either single moms, parents with two or more jobs, immigrants that only work for food and to pay the bills. Having computers in our classroom will help tremendously. My students need a computer to write down five different types of essay, using the writing process. In order for my students to successfully complete the process they need to do research and type the information. My student can't achieve or work to their full potential because the computer lab in our school gets booked, or the notebooks for the students are malfunctioning. Having class computers will take the limits away and encourage students to research jobs, degrees, countries and different colleges.

Students should not have limits when it comes to education.

My students have an obstacle today but you can help me take this obstacle away, so the limits of their language wont be the limits of their world! By encouraging students and supporting students we build strong independent people for our future.
