I started the year off with 18 and now I am up to 25 students. My 3rd graders have been hard at learning and they fill up their notebooks FAST!! Donations this past year have made it possible for my students to have what they need without feeling it financially. I know most of their families don't have the means to buy a large list of school supplies.
Our contingency budget does not allow us to buy the supplies necessary for everyday learning. With every new student 5 new notebooks are taken from my supply closet for them to use. My supply of books has officially seen better times. This time of year many of my students are ready for their second or third notebook.
I want to be able to go into my closet at anytime and give them what they need. I want my class to know that they can continue to work hard and when one book is done there will be a new one to start.
You will make it possible for my students to have uninterrupted learning. Your generosity will ensure that whatever day they get to the last page of their notebook, they can look forward to getting a new one.
