Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"All mankind is divided into three classes: those that are immovable, those that are movable, and those that move," Benjamin Franklin
My mission statement is to aid my students in becoming those that move and they need the tools.
My students are at risk, low income students that require dedication and most importantly, motivation.
They are good kids that need a caring word and nudge in the right direction. They need more than a teacher; they need a motivational speaker, surrogate parent, and shoulder to lean on. Moreover, these students have achieved this year and need this final push to get ready for high school and beyond.
My Project
My students will learn how to annotate and identify strong relevant information by using post its to note take inside Fahrenheit 451. Research shows that students that annotate will use the information they gather in a productive way via their writing. Filler paper, pens, pencils, and a stapler are necessary to putting the information they acquire into rigorous and creative writing pieces.
My students come to school lacking the basic necessities of learning.
In order for a child to learn, they must have the essentials of learning. They will move on with confidence in their ability to succeed in the classroom and better themselves in the future.
