Summer is approaching and the break from school gives an opportunity for reading! The summer is a great time to introduce readers to a new genres of books. I am excited to offer the readers at my school Anime books for summer reading.
Did you know that Anime, Magna and comic books offer readers visually and intellectually appealing media?
This media can appeal to more people and cross gender, race and age barriers. These types of books to convey important messages to readers and these important themes can be received by many readers’ even reluctant readers because the books aren’t text heavy.
It is my hope that as we explore the new genre of Anime, Magna and comic books this summer, that my readers will explore new art, which is used in these books to convey tone and depth with fewer words. The readers will understand more emotion, gain empathy and understanding of the human condition, and become better readers from these books.
