My Students
The children in our kindergarten class are so filled with wonder as we discuss the world around us! Their eyes light up when we are talking to each other about what animals can do, their habitats and what they eat. They love to watch information videos, draw and write facts about animals and discuss their new schema with their friends. Often I find their reading, writing, and social studies information is brought into their everyday play. It is so exciting!
My Project
Kindergarten children have a strong desire to learn about their world! Through interactive videos, books, projects and play they are able to add to their schema and be able to verbalize this information to others. I am requesting books, posters, puzzles, puppets, play animals and hands on projects. These items are essential to developmental child's play, animal studies, habitats and literacy connections. The children will use these to items to add to their schema while working, talking and playing . We will be able to use models of animals during our science lessons, writing projects, new vocabulary and literacy discussions.
