My students need 80 frog dissection kits which include 75 frogs and all of the mostly reusable assessories including scissors, probes, hand lenses, dissection trays, plastic bags & forceps that will allow for the purchase of the animals only in the future therefore reducing the cost of the lab each year we do it.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We dissected frogs 3 years ago, and siblings have been begging to do it every year since! I teach seventh grade science in a diverse but economically challenged neighborhood of a mix of Polish, Hispanic and African American junior high school students. The children come from big families so siblings tell younger brothers & sisters what they should expect from teachers and classes. That one time exposure to a forensic dissection traveled by word of mouth for years afterward with students expecting to do what their siblings did.
I would like to fill this void with reusable supplies. If we purchase the dissection kits offered through Donors Choose; with the exception of the frogs, we can reuse the tools every year.
The purchase of these particular kits will enable future students to buy their own frogs, eliminating the need to buy more kits each year.
