This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our class, we do a deep study of the life cycle, needs, and classification of animals. Normally we observe the life cycle of a butterfly but we have the opportunity this year to get fertilized chicken eggs. The only thing we need is an incubator to be able to view the chicken life cycle in the classroom.

Students will be able to study and observe the steps within the chick's life cycle and see how important the qualities of an egg are and how it bring the chicks the nutrients they need to hatch.

This experience is something that may be once in a lifetime experience for them and we would love to show them a hands-on experience of how the real world works. We will incorporate reading, writing, and math skills throughout the year as we observe these eggs. This will also help show them the possible career path of being a farmer.
