My Project
It’s such a frustrating situation when textbooks start falling apart, especially when they are crucial to the success of a class. When books are old, worn down, and missing pages, it can really affect the learning experience. For your 9th honors ELA class, having reliable copies of Animal Farm is essential—this text is a powerful tool for discussing themes like power, corruption, and societal structures. Students should have access to a quality version that can be read and referenced without pieces falling out or being difficult to follow.
Unfortunately, not enough books are available in good condition, and that’s where the problem lies.
If students are struggling with old or incomplete editions, it can be a huge barrier to understanding the text as it's meant to be taught. They might miss out on the depth of Orwell's message because the physical book itself is falling apart.
Given how important Animal Farm is for understanding historical allegories and political satire, it’s vital to make sure students have a fresh, intact edition. Investing in new books would not only ensure the learning material is in excellent shape but also help foster a more engaging classroom environment. Everyone deserves the opportunity to have a quality learning experience, and sometimes that starts with the resources available. Getting your class new copies of Animal Farm would really show your commitment to their education and help ensure they can fully engage with the material!
