My Project

My students are some of the most wonderful and caring students you could ever meet. They are all special education students who come from a variety of households and each one brings unique challenges and joy to our room. Many of our students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and struggle to get the resources they need to be successful.

The resources donated from this project will help us create a calming safe space for all of our special education and regular education students.

From mood lamps to cushions and a bookshelf, all of the donated items will help our students have a safe and comfortable place to go and regulate their behaviors and emotions so we can get them back into learning and growing. We will have the tools and materials to help teach them about their feelings and help them feel that they have a safe place at school just stop and breathe.
