We need to excite our students about learning. As they grow older in to the middle school years, interest wains for exploring the past. Our students need connections and background knowledge. Blending the past (subject content) with our technological present and future (virtual reality) engages this generation of students. Additionally, I will have the opportunity to expose my students to places that we will never be able to visit in reality, especially since COVID. Cost and risk have made many field trips unlikely if not impossible. With VR, oh, the places we could go!
