My students need a wireless Eggspert classroom game system, AC adaptor, and batteries.
Do you love game shows? My students do! They especially love to play games at school that show off what they have learned.
My sixth graders live in a working class and immigrant neighborhood.
Some of them are learning English as a second language, some have special needs, some are gifted, and all of them love to learn. I teach history to all the sixth graders in our school, plus science to my own homeroom. In our spare time, we create projects that impact our whole school. Our Title I school is an important safe haven for my kids, who are surrounded by poverty and gang activity.
My sixth graders are learning about ancient history this year. They will be studying the early civilizations of China, Greece, Egypt, Rome, and others. A lot of the names of cities and people will be new and difficult for them. How will they remember the difference between Hammurabi and Hatshepsut when these names are so unusual and new for them? I want to give them the chance to practice what they learn in a fun, innovative way.
The Eggspert game system will be a way for us to review our material in the form of a history game. The system contains six buzzers. We will elect a game "host" who will ask questions. Students will hit the buzzer when they know the answer, and so the game will continue. Everyone watching the game will be excited to see if they know the answers themselves. We are asking for an Eggspert gaming system, batteries, and an AC adapter.
With your generous donation, my students will be able to practice what they learn in history using a wireless interactive game.
We will bring the game of Jeopardy right into our classroom. My students and I thank you!
