My Students

Many of the students in my classroom have experienced trauma in their lives, and school is their safe place. My classroom serves students with a range of disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbance, autism spectrum disorder, and specific learning disabilities. My students work hard and they love to explore, discover and learn.

The typical student in my class struggles with basic phonemic awareness and letter recognition.

About 90% of my students are African American or Latino. The opportunity and achievement gaps are apparent among our student population.

My Project

I am requesting chart paper and markers for my classroom. I want to give my students colorful, interactive posters and anchor charts for us to display in our classroom. With the curriculum that we are using now, we need to make anchor charts almost daily, so we go through a lot of chart paper. If possible, I would like to have multiple packs or chart paper so we can use it freely. Please consider giving to this project, so my students and I can have posters and anchor charts hanging around our classroom.
