This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a Title I school in Miami Beach. My students are imaginative and inquisitive kids. Most of them come from underprivileged households, mostly non-English speakers. They are passionate about school, they have a great attitude towards learning. We are in the midst of the most sweeping education experiment in history. The pandemic has forced us to find ways to teach without what most important, the daily face-to-face interactions.

My Project

Anchor charts are huge part of our daily instruction during literacy and math block times. We use chart paper for group activities such as literacy discussions of learning objectives and for math talks. The Sharpie markers are needed for group projects and displays within our classroom and hallway. We use these two supply items daily and throughout each day.

Our classroom anchor charts allow us to display our learning targets and extend our discussions into other subject areas.

These colored paper, paint pens and other supplies will support our classroom learning goals. Without the chart papers and markers, our learning would not be concrete!
