This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Mental Health is important to our physical well-being. Mental health affects how we think, feel and handle stress relating to school and everyday decision making. Poor health can affect the way our body responds to stress and anxiety which can lead to diseases and other health issues. In our anatomy class, students will research projects on mental health awareness to improve relationships at school. Students will gain valuable insights into the causes of mental health by analyzimg real-life case studies that can help them understand the implication of mental health issues and how they relate to anatomical structures. Students will create models to study the nervous system and the brain using clay, pipe cleaners, and other materials provided to demonstrate how the different parts of the brain functions and how they are affected by mental health. Students will present their findings in class and share their insight with other classmates. Students can create a feeling wheel displaying the different emotions related to mental health.
