My Project

Flexible seating in classrooms promotes a dynamic learning environment by accommodating diverse student needs and preferences. It fosters collaboration, allowing students to easily form groups or work independently based on tasks. With options like bean bags, standing desks, or floor cushions, students can find comfort, enhancing focus and engagement. Movement and posture variations support physical well-being, reducing discomfort from prolonged sitting. Moreover, it cultivates independence and responsibility as students select seating that suits their learning style. Overall, flexible seating empowers students, promotes active learning, and enhances classroom dynamics, ultimately facilitating a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.

The ability for students to have voice and choice in how they can work productively supports our Portrait of a Learner and helps them be empowered and in their own learning!
