My Project

The Need: Making Virtual Connection Tangible

For many students at Springfield Virtual School, the choice to learn online is deeply personal, often stemming from anxiety or other circumstances that make traditional school settings challenging.

This is why our in-person, social events are more than just parties—they are crucial opportunities for these students to experience the celebrated norms and milestones of a high school career.

We have seen the powerful impact of these events, which build community, foster confidence, and ensure our virtual students feel seen and valued within the high school experience. Our upcoming Prom is the capstone event for our 10th-12th graders, and we want to encourage attendance by transforming our venue into a breathtaking, inclusive environment.

Project Vision: A Fully Immersive Night Under the Stars

With your generous support, we will purchase the extensive array of decorations, specialized lighting, and celestial elements needed to transform our space into a fully immersive rendition of Van Gogh's "Starry Night."

Our goal is to create an experience that is both spectacular and comforting—a tranquil, awe-inspiring, and memorable setting where our students can leave their screens behind, connect face-to-face, and celebrate their high school journey. Your donation will help us build the entire universe for them, from the starry backdrop to the subtle glow of moonlight on every table.
